* k o o m is released today, friday 5th june, be quick as there are only 50 copies available only from norman records. packaged in cork sleeves, handstitched by gnomes in the black forest. the gnome-quality manager also noticed a hidden track somewhere on the cd, which we are very pleased about.
a review from norman records is below:
Part 2 of the Maps And Diagrams limited cork series is in. These are 3″ CD’s limited to 50 and they come in cork sleeves which are hand stitched. Hence the label being called Handstitched. It all makes sense…. This one is called Koom and it continues his path down a more ambient route. It’s a lovely combination of acoustic guitars, electronics and possibly some found sounds. One of the tracks is almost Mogwai ish with it’s ever so slight post rock acoustic guitar. Track 3 is more experimental and droney and dare I say industrial sounding. Very atmospheric and moving electronic music and so forth and so on…. Needless to say if you like the last one you’ll like this as it’s treading the same path of drifty floaty hissy and dronetronica. It’s very warm sounding lush stuff and something you could quite easily butter up the missus with before an evening on night plumbing. We’ve got 40 and the release sold out in about 5 hours………….Be quick!
